For the wholemeal rolls, dissolve yeast in water with flour and the remaining ingredients and knead well with a food processor until a silky dough is formed. Leave to rise for 1 hour, shape into rolls and leave to rise again briefly on the baking tray.

Brush with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake the wholemeal Weckerl at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes.
