Instructions:

For the apple custard tart, first prepare the sponge. To do this, beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar until foamy and fold in the flour. Pour into a floured and greased cake pan, bake in a preheated oven at 160 °C for about 20 minutes and let cool.

For the apple filling, cut apples into 1 cm cubes (or grate) and steam with powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, 1 pinch of cinnamon and apple and lemon juice over low heat for 5 minutes. Stir pudding powder with apple juice until smooth, mix into apples and cook for 1 minute. Let cool a bit and then spread on the sponge cake.

For the custard, make custard, then stir in softened gelatin sheets and gradually pour in the eggnog. After cooling briefly, empty onto the apple filling and put the apple custard tart in the refrigerator for a few hours.

Preparation Tip:

Decorate the sides of the apple custard tart with whipped cream and flaked almonds.
